Dan has been in software since he did his first paid consulting gig in QuickBasic in the early 1980s.
- Until 2000 in San Francisco, California he worked with Microsoft Technologies and Java during the dot-com boom in San Francisco, California. He ran the Technical Services department at Canto Software and was one of three lead developers at Esurance, Inc.
- Until 2003 in Madrid, Spain, he worked with Altana SRL doing applications security in J2EE, especially focusing on XML Security.
- Until 2006, working with Borland Iberia, Dan was all over the Iberian Peninsula and in the UK. With Borland the focus was teaching: Dan taught a myriad of expert seminars to developers, designers and architects at top European companies (e.g., BT, Telefonica, Ericsson). The main focus was J2EE, UML and XML/Web Services.
- Since 2006, Dan has been in Buenos Aires enjoying new technologies such as Adobe Flex 2 and 3, and putting his knowledge to test with various new applications such as TheKBase Web and new clients such as DVDs4theSAT.com.
